1. Scope of the service
Wrivel provides browser-based calculators, sketches, field worksheets and educational guides for early yard-drainage planning. The service helps organize measurements and compare scenarios; it does not provide construction drawings, surveying, legal advice, permit approval, certified geotechnical testing, utility locating or professional engineering services.
2. Your responsibility before acting
You are responsible for checking the conditions that a browser tool cannot verify, including local laws and permits, lawful discharge locations, easements and property boundaries, buried utilities, wells and septic components, groundwater or bedrock conditions, site-specific soil behavior and any professional design requirement.
A favorable calculator result, grade percentage or field screen does not establish that a French drain, swale, catch basin, dry well, rain garden or other feature is suitable or lawful on a specific property.
3. High-consequence conditions
Do not rely on Wrivel alone where failure could cause building water intrusion, retaining-wall or slope instability, flooding of neighboring property, sewer backup, damage to public infrastructure or another material safety risk. Use an appropriately qualified local professional when the consequence or uncertainty warrants it.
4. Accuracy and availability
We aim to make formulas, assumptions and source references clear, but drainage conditions and regulatory requirements can change and can vary by location. Wrivel is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every estimate will match field performance.
5. User inputs and local browser data
You are responsible for the measurements and assumptions you enter. The core planner and selected field tools use browser storage to preserve working state. A copied planner share link contains encoded planning inputs in the URL and should be treated as information you intentionally share. See Planner Data & Privacy.
6. Acceptable use
You may use Wrivel for ordinary personal, educational and professional-reference purposes. Do not use the service to interfere with its operation, bypass security controls, distribute malicious code, scrape in a way that materially disrupts the service, or misrepresent Wrivel outputs as certified engineering or regulatory approval.
7. External links and third-party services
Wrivel links to public agencies, technical references and third-party service providers. Those sites control their own content, availability and privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of every statement, product or service on the destination site.
8. Advertising
Wrivel may display Google AdSense advertising. Advertising is separate from calculator logic and editorial methodology. More detail is available in the Advertising disclosure.
9. Intellectual property
Wrivel's original site design, text, code organization and interactive presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Public technical facts, formulas and linked government materials remain subject to their own source terms and are not claimed as Wrivel-exclusive material.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Wrivel and its publisher are not liable for losses arising from treating an educational estimate as site-specific professional approval, from incorrect user measurements, or from conditions that the service cannot observe. Mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
11. Changes to the service or terms
Features, assumptions and these terms may be updated as the service evolves. Material changes are reflected by the updated date on this page. Continued use after an update is subject to the then-current terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and conflict-of-law rules that apply to you. Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@wrivel.com. Publisher details are in the Legal notice.
